Big Spaceship by Cranimation Big Spaceship by Cranimation
A big spaceship transport vehicle I designed and made in Maya for a little animation.

Here's a link to a flyby video of the ship [link]

Here's a little action scene with the ship escaping a planet [link]

I like the big engines, but turbines are not useful in space.

Yeah I used a healthy dose of artistic license in the design.

Agree with the comment re a steam punk design - looks gritty and functional. Kind of mid-late 21st century thing going on. Like it loads! :)

I always appreciate the work of someone who realizes that the most effective spacecraft is one that has a central spine and you attach everything to the spine as modules.

The air turbines are a nice touch.

Thanks for that, I know the turbines are “bad science” but I really liked the look of them.

No I haven’t, I do have a few other designs that I’m working on at the moment that I might release in the future.

Besides of looking is there a reason of why do you use air turbines?

Hi, good question. I have to be honest, it's just because I liked the look of these big turbines strapped to the back.
